Abortion-Friendly Appropriations Bill Passes Senate

The Senate agreed to the conference report accompanying H.R.3288 by a vote of 57-35. Eight Senators did not vote. The bill now goes to the president for his signature. It will then become law. Our elected officials continue to actively support abortion. In addition to opening the door for government funding of abortion in the District of Columbia, this bill appropriates money to Planned Parenthood, overseas groups that perform abortions, and condom promotions instead of abstinence programs. Three Republicans voted in favor of the bill: Senator Susan Collins (Maine); Senator Thad Cochran (Mississippi); Senator Richard Shelby (Alabama). Please contact your Senators if you disagree with the way they voted. (For information concerning how to contact your Senator, see http://www.unitedtostopabortion.com). The Senate will convene again at 2:00 PM tomorrow. Please pray that our Senate will not pass the abortion-funding health care bill (H.R.3590) that is currently being debated on the floor.

May God have mercy on our nation.
