Since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, the number of abortions in the United States is nearing 50 million. If the federal government begins funding abortions, that number will soar.

Nelson Rejects Abortion Compromise Language

The Associated Press reported today that Senator Ben Nelson (Nebraska) has rejected the abortion compromise language designed to win his support for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's health care reform bill. In an interview with Nebraska radio station KLIN, Nelson said he agrees with the Stupak language in the House bill (which explicitly prohibits federal funding of abortion). A report by newsmax.com states that Senator Nelson is being "ardently tracked by fellow Democrats who believe he represents the 60th vote they need to pass health care reform." Please continue to pray that Senator Nelson will not back down in his stand against government funding of abortion.

May God have mercy on our nation.
